Curated's Slack integration allows you and your team to collect links for your publication directly from Slack. When you find an interesting article or resource in a Slack channel, you can quickly add it to your Curated collected items without leaving Slack.
Installing the Slack Integration
To get started, you'll need to install the Curated Slack app in your Slack workspace:
- Log in to your Curated account at my.curated.co.
- Navigate to Settings > Integrations.
- Find the Slack integration and click Connect.
- Follow the prompts to authorize Curated in your Slack workspace.
Collecting Links from Slack
Once the Slack integration is installed, you can collect links in two ways:
Using the Slash Command
Type /curated followed by the URL you want to collect:
/curated https://example.com/interesting-article
The link will be added to your publication's collected items, ready for you to include in your next issue.
Using Message Actions
If someone shares a link in a Slack channel, you can use the message action to collect it:
- Hover over the message containing the link.
- Click the More actions menu (three dots).
- Select Collect to Curated.
Choosing a Publication
If you have multiple publications, you'll be prompted to choose which publication to collect the link to. You can set a default publication in your Curated integration settings.
Tips
- You can collect links from any channel where the Curated app is installed.
- Collected links will appear in your Curated dashboard under Collected Items.
- Team members with access to your publication can also collect links via Slack.
